Head of Care (Deputy Manager)
The Grange has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse with 4-6 years experience at a Senior Nurse/Sister level to join our team as Head of Care. You must have excellent leadership skills, proven experience in change management, knowledge of CQC, associated regulated activities and the Health & Social Care Act 2008.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager and deputise in his/her absence to ensure the smooth operation of the Home. In addition to being an effective leader and manager, other aspects of the role include clinical responsibility, financial responsibility, service development & improvement, and supporting the Home’s education and learning activities.
The post holder must be experienced in dealing with difficult situations whilst remaining professional and respectful of staff, residents and visitors within the Home.
The Grange Nursing home has an opportunity for a Staff Nurse with 3 years’ post registration experience, with good medical/clinical knowledge and ideally with experience of nursing the elderly. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Care in leading and maintaining the smooth operation of the Home and act as the designated nurse in charge in the absence of a senior nurse and the Home Manager.
The Staff Nurse will be expected to effectively plan, coordinate and implement nursing care to Residents and supervise junior members of the Nursing/Care Team. A good communicator, the Staff Nurse will also be able to maintain the objectives set out in the Home’s philosophy of Care/Statement of Purpose.
